Mrs. Heinselman

Fourth Grade Teacher

I would like to introuduce you to one of Commodore's finest teachers, Ms. Pricilla Wyatt. She was born in Sacramento and grew up in Stockton,CA. She attended Fair Oaks Elementary School, then went to Fremont Middle School. She would later move on to graduate from Franklin High School. She attended college for 4 years at the University of California at Davis. There she received her B.S degree. Upon the completion of her degree, she attended the University of Pacific for a year and received her teaching credential. She has been teaching for 37 years and shows no sign of slowing down. In addition to teaching 4th grade, she has also taught 5th and 6th grade. She enjoys teaching 4th grade the most.

Ms. Wyatt is a fourth grade teacher. She is very entertaining and loves to play sports. Her family is originally from Texas. Her grandfather was born on an Indian reservation in Oaklahoma. Ms. Wyatt is the 6th child out of 8 children. She has 110 nieces and nephews. Her family has 5 generations. Ms. Wyatt's philosophy is that, "All children can learn and get the best eduaction possible." Her mission is for every child to do their personal best.

Ms. Wyatt has several hobbies. They include, quilting, making dolls, scrapbooking and sewing. What Ms. Wyatt loves the most about teaching is working with the kids; good or bad. Some of her interests include paper piecing, singing and writing poetry. She is extremely athletic, creative and comical. She is also very talented. She has written and published a childrens book and in the year of 1958, as a child, she landed an acting role in a movie by the name of "Dergy and Bess". It was filmed on an island outside of Stockton. We look forward to working with Ms. Wyatt this school year and we are very excited to see what fun and creative learning experiences her students will being involved in this year!
